Disclaimer
The move to computer to plate (CTP) has helped to keep down the cost of printing which, as the cost of CD and DVD manufacture has continued to drop, makes up an increasing proportion of the total cost particularly for small runs.
With CTP (also known as straight to plate), the printer uses a digital colour proof as a colour guide to ensure finished print colour is correct. Key Production strongly advise you to provide or pay for a digital colour proof to be made from your artwork.
A digital proof is produced through an industry recognised postscript proofing system should give an accurate colour representation. We cannot colour match to colour guides made in any other way. Colour guides made in any other way or previous printed copies will be printed to weight.
We therefore recommend that a digital proof be made for each section of 4-colour print and that written confirmation should be given upon approval of the digital proof.
If a digital proof is not requested or supplied then Key Production (London) Ltd will not be liable for any variance in the finished printed copy from that expected.
