Standard Vinyl, DVD and CD Packaging

Listed below are our standard forms of DVD and CD packaging for the most common formats as well as some alternatives.

CD singles are normally packed in a slimline case with a single folded peice of card, known as a j-card, printed on one side.

CD albums are packed into a jewel case with a booklet of from 4 to 20 pages and an inlay (or tray card) behind the CD.

DVDs are generally packed into an amaray style case which opens like a book. A single sheet of printed paper is inserted behind a clear plastic sleeve. An accompanying booklet may be printed to go inside the case.

Vinyl albums are packed into white paper sleeves and then into a printed cardboard outer sleeve.

Vinyl singles are packed into black or white light-weight cardboard sleeves (known as disco bags) as standard. If you want a printed sleeve you can choose printed disco bags or album packaging with or without a centre hole.

Alternative DVD and CD Packaging

If you are looking for cost savings, manufacture promos, give aways or cover mounts you may want to use clear plastic wallets or printed cardboard wallets.

Alternatives include the Digipak or Flexipak which was the first of what is now a huge range of predominantly cardboard packaging alternatives. Cardboard alternatives can help your packaging to stand out from the crowd and are fundamentally more environmentally friendly than the traditional jewel cases.
