Acrobats is the second Long-Player release from Peggy Sue, and subtly denotes a rise and maturity to the trio’s sound. Long gone are the days when Peggy Sue & the Pirates, as a duo, would capture crowds to a standstill with all but the power in their voices and the beauty of their melodies.
Their sound has progressed much since then, but retaining the distinctiveness that has carved them a loyal fanbase both in London and around the country – with the breathtaking live performance remaining in their pocket. With the second album produced by John Parish (notable for working with PJ Harvey, Sparklehorse, Giant Sand and Eels), Peggy Sue will only go further in marking their course in musical history, and it’s something we’re eagerly anticipating.
Acrobats is out on September 13th via Wichita Recordings.
