Key Production Release of the Year + Album of the Year Staff Picks

Unbelievable, 2017 is gone already!

As our Lorna T. said "Nothing in the world makes me happier than a ‘best of’ record release list", so here's ours, we picked our company release of the year and then each member of staff chose their own favourite 2017 album.

We wanted to thank everyone that chose Key to manufacture their releases this year, we are proud and happy to have worked on each one of them, it's been a year full of great music, we hope 2018 will be even better.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Lovely Creatures, BMG

When BMG UK got in touch with the idea to produce a best of showcasing Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds entire music career we were ecstatic. What an honour to play a part in a release that will make history because it's history itself and every time we collaborate in a Nick Cave project we can be sure it is going to be something special. The attention to detail, artwork concepts and the challenge to translate the art of this amazing band into packaging was a singular challenge as our Production Team, especially Tanzy Burrill and Jack Stephenson, planned the project from ideation to reality. When packaging turns into art of craftsmanship; that's where we want to be.

Lovely Creatures: The Best of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 1984-2014 was compiled by Nick Cave and founding member Mick Harvey, with help from the current Bad Seeds. Band members past and present raided their personal archives to provide previously unseen photos and memorabilia which have been collected into a beautiful hardcover book, complemented by a series of original essays.
