Axtone Records
Axtone Ten Box Set

To celebrate their 10 year anniversary, Axtone Records decided to create something special to showcase what they do best: high quality music and design. Axtone Ten is a limited edition box: "In a world where everything is available all the time, we wanted to take this opportunity to create something that can't be downloaded or looked at on your screen [...] something that make you want to touch, feel, hold and have as physical object in your home."

Client Information

Born in 2005, Axtone Records is the label of Swedish Superstar DJ/Producer Axwell, who's tracks as Watch The Sunrise and I Found U, became worldwide hits! Over time the label has expanded by actively signing and releasing quality house music from all around the globe and consistently releasing records to which all others are measured against. In 2010 they established their publishing department as a joint venture with Universal and more recently set up a management department.

Printing Techniques

The box is made of black board wrapped in a black matt laminate. Instead of printing the logo in a conventional way, we debossed the logo and applied a transparent spot gloss varnish for a subtle, but impressive effect. To match the outer box, the vinyl is packed into 3 individual sleeves, within black paper inners. The sleeves are wrapped in a matt lamination.

"I was really impressed with Think Tank, they were juggling many balls throughout the process and were readily available to act and deliver on all our whims! Ultimately the product looked fantastic and the process was smooth with good communication along the way."
