Formats
SMART Formats combine any physical product with additional digital content of your choice. Using embedded Near Field Communication (NFC) you can share small payloads of data between an NFC tag and NFC enabled devices.
SMART formats can be as rich and creative as you like and can evolve over time – singles, videos, artist to fan messaging, tour info and more can all be added to your physical carrier.

An Example
- Create your carrier(s). Physical music product and / or merch item.
- Create an online portal for the release.
- Input the release timeline.
- Announce the release - merch-based SMART formats can be shipped from this point. Audio will be added on release date and in some cases an OCC sale can be reported. If your SMART format is also a physical music format, it will register as 2 sales.
- Fans sign up to access the content and notified by email as new content is added.
- Update the portal with content as your campaign rolls.
Create your SMART version
Some SMART formats can even be sold from the moment the album is announced. Unlike standard formats like vinyl, fans get value before music is released via audio, video and image instant grats.
